Description
Reeves Turtle hatchling, scientifically known as Mauremys reevesii, are small and captivating turtle species native to East Asia. They are often referred to as Chinese Pond Turtles or Reeves’ Pond Turtles. As hatchlings, they typically measure around 1.5 to 2 inches in length. These turtles have a dark brown or black shell with striking yellow or orange markings on the edges. Reeves Turtle hatchlings are semi-aquatic and require a habitat that offers both land and water areas. They primarily feed on a diet consisting of aquatic invertebrates, small fish, and plant matter.
