Centruroides gracilis, commonly known as the Florida Bark Scorpion or Slender Brown Scorpion, is a species of scorpion native to Florida and other southeastern parts of the United States. It is relatively small compared to some other scorpion species, with adults typically measuring around 2 to 3 inches in length. The Florida Bark Scorpion has a light brown coloration and slender body. While it possesses venom, its sting is generally considered mild and not life-threatening to humans. These scorpions are typically found in wooded areas and are nocturnal predators, feeding on insects and other small invertebrates.
